Unusual Safety for Street Photography

Standing in the middle of a busy street complete with four lanes of traffic and a center turning lane isn’t exactly safe. So, how do we work around this?

Well, in Brenda’s case, she managed to capture her shot from the passenger seat of a moving vehicle. While this isn’t necessarily a conventional method, even for her, she found success when she manually focused closer than the image she wanted to capture. This allowed her to be driven into focus as opposed to playing a game of Frogger across the road.

It may feel strange to hold a camera to your face as you’re riding down the road, but when you allow yourself to do things that feel strange or silly, you discover new opportunities.

Please note: we take safety seriously, and never recommend taking photos while operating a vehicle. This image was captured as a passenger in a vehicle. Please also be sure to still follow all safety requirements provided in the owner’s manual and/or on any manufacturer safety labels within the vehicle.
